INSCYD AND SEG RACING PARTNER UP

(Tägerwilen, Switzerland, 7 January 2019) – INSCYD, the world’s most advanced software for performance analysis, and SEG Racing Academy partnered up for the next three years.

Long term partnership for good reasons

SEG is looking after classics specialists of the likes of Nicky Terpstra (winner of the 2018 Tour of Flanders and the 2013 Paris-Roubaix), Dan Martin (multiple stage winner at the Tour de France and also winner of Il Lombardia and Liège-Bastogne-Liège in 2014) Wout Poels (winner of Liège-Bastogne-Liège in 2016), Bauke Mollema and Sep Van Marcke.

SEG Racing head coach Vasilis Anastopoulos explains INSCYD to Bart van Haaren

SEG Racing Academy is an U23 development team that competes at continental level with the aim of educating and developing riders to the next step. This unique structure has successfully moved to the pro ranks a total of 16 riders in just four years of existence. The development focus of the Academy does not solely apply to the riders but also to their partnerships, thanks to the constant feedback and cooperation that the team's management offers.

On the partnership with INSCYD, Vasilis Anastopoulos, SEG Racing Academy Performance Manager says: "We are really happy about the partnership with INSCYD. We truly believe that this cooperation will bring our rider's performance one step further. It will also be a great tool for our Performance Staff at the time of measuring the efforts of our talents and planning their training sessions"

INSCYD, on the other hand, has already been chosen by the most successful cycling teams in the professional peloton, like BORA-hansgrohe (winner of the Paris-Roubaix and the green jersey at the Tour de France in 2018 with Peter Sagan) and the Jumbo-Visma Cycling Team, that placed two of its riders – Primož Roglič and Steve Kruijswijk – 4th and 5th in the final General Classification of the 2018 Tour. All of their riders have been periodically tested by the teams’ coaches trough INSCYD.

“We wanted to work together with SEG because it is one of the greatest development teams in the world,” says Sebastian Weber, INSCYD Project Leader. “INSCYD methodology have already being used at the Highroad/HTC times to scout talent and develop some of the best riders in the peloron. That is why we saw a great fit coming from the cooperation with SEG.”
